Thumbs down Ugh! Petersons/Thomson site down for work

I had planned to take two practice tests today, American Government and US History II, but I keep getting a message that the site is down for work until August 4th, so I guess it's down until August 4th...

A little cheese with that whine...

can i join you? red or white? my advice to anyone is not to choose to do a hard test when there are a lot of distractions because then you have flimsy excuses not to study.

bummer about your practice tests. i'm sure you were all geared up and ready to go. and now you have to change plans. i hate when that happens.

LOL, I meant to type "whine" the first time! Red or white either one. I do like dry whites a lot though.

Anyway, I did have a PDF of a AG test saved, 100 questions. I took it and scored 68 out of 100, so I'm feeling like I'm getting better prepared.

I think I have a US History II practice PDF somewhere as well. I have the CLEP book, but those are only 50, I want something more realistic so I know what I need to work on yet, so I feel pressured somewhat, if that makes sense.

I am getting back into things, but the heat, the pressure of other life stuff creeping in is getting to me a bit.

Step by step...

Well, that's not a good sign! I tried to get into it yesterday late afternoon and it said "Try back in one hour". I hadn't yet tried today but was hoping to get on tonight - oh well! I just hope they don't keep extending the time it will be down for...

At least you still have a FEW days of study time left - good luck getting ready! Let us know how it goes...

Take care,
JoAnne

Sorry...I got the "try back in one hour message first" and then they switched it to sometime early am on August 4th.

Are your exams in the next day or so? That really bites. Mine are on Tuesday, so as you say, I have a little time, but I like to take all three and start early.

Hope the site is up soon enough for you.

I'm more fortunate that you at this point - my exams aren't until the 11th - and they're the EASY ones anyway (Management and A&I Lit), but thought I'd try the practice tests out just the same.

I just sent you a PM...

Default I have a test in 3 hours!!!

Well I got up this morning, ate some breakfast, played with my boy, turned on the computer for a couple of last minute practice CLEPS for my A&I Lit test I have in three hours. I found the "down till Aug 4th" statement as well . At least I did one of the tests earlier this week and also did the CLEP sites practice test as well. I'm scoring in the high 60s so I'm going for it. Wish me luck, Lee

Good luck, Lee! Sending success vibes your way! A &I Lit is very doable, just read carefully and go with your best instincts. With scores in the 60's you'll do great! Let us know.

Thumbs up Site back up!

The P/T site is back up and working. I scored a 53% on my first attempt at US History. I'm going to review all my answers and then try the AM Gov in a bit.

Going to try my two DSST's this weekend, I think. My brain is about to spill over! ACK!

Next I'll be dreaming about Nixon's dog, Checkers, (whoops, I mean his daughter's) or Labor strikes or religious revivals or great compromises.

Cheers
