    Default HTTP Error 550

    I thought the site was back up... when I try to take my US Hist II practice test it gives me some HTTP error every time. Am I the only one getting this? Is there any other practice tests, I would have got the PDF from the site but it appears as though there is only one for US Hist I. Hmm...

    You're right. I just tried three different practice tests I still have available to take and not one of them would work! I sure hope they get this fixed quickly, as I want to use them for Algebra soon.

    I just sent an e-mail to their technical support dept. Let's see if that gets us any results...

    I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but here is Petersons' reply to my e-mail regarding problems with their website:

    Thank you for contacting Peterson's. I apologize for the difficulty you have had using the online practice test.

    I'm familiar with the error that you're referring to. Please follow the below steps to make sure your computer and browser are configured to use the test.

    If you use AOL, we are sorry but our tests do not support the AOL browser. Please minimize the AOL browser and open Microsoft Internet Explorer and follow the steps listed below.

    It’s also important to make sure that your browser is accepting cookies from the Petersons.com website.

    For the browser you are using please see the below steps to allow cookies.

    For Microsoft Internet Explorer except if you have Service Pack 2 installed. If you have Service Pack 2 installed please see below:

    Click "Tools" tab at the top of the screen
    Click "Internet Options" -This will open a small window.
    Click the "Privacy" tab at the top of that small window.
    Click on the "Edit" button
    Then, you will be given a space where you can enter the "Address of a Web site"
    In that space, please type in petersons.com
    Then, Click the "Allow" button.
    Then, add ilrn.com in the same way Petersons.com was added.
    Then click "OK" to close.

    If you have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed:

    Click "Tools" tab at the top of the screen
    Click "Internet Options" -This will open a small window.
    Click the "Privacy" tab at the top of that small window.
    Click on the "Settings" button
    Then, you will be given a space where you can enter the "Address of a Web site"
    In that space, please type in petersons.com
    Then, Click the "Add" button.
    Then, add ilrn.com in the same way Petersons.com was added.
    Then click "Close" to close.

    Firefox:

    Click "Tools" tab at the top of the screen
    Click “Options” – This will open a small window.
    Click the "Privacy ICON” at the top of that small window.
    Click the "Cookies" tab at the top of that small window.
    Click the “Exceptions ICON”
    Then, you will be given a space where you can enter the "Address of a Web site"
    In that space, please type in petersons.com
    Then, Click the "Allow" button.
    Then, add ilrn.com in the same way Petersons.com was added.
    Then click "Close" to close.
    Then click “OK”

    If after completing the steps above, you still experience a problem, or have a browser other then listed above, please call us.
