    Hi Johanna,

I watched both the first and second S.D. videos for Statistics and found them VERY helpful - you won't be disappointed. They were an excellent starting point for me, and watching them was for the first thing I did before I started actually studying for Statistics using IC and The Idiot's Guide to Statistics. One thing that also helped me was that I took a lot of notes while watching the videos, which proved helpful to me later on. All in all, I found them to be a good foundation to build from. I scored a 53, just 2 points shy of an "A".

    Good luck with your studies!

    JoAnne

I just received the Standard Deviants Statistics #1 and #2 that I ordered through Ebay. Early in the first episode they refer to an insert that was supposed to be part of the video. Mine doesn't have it. Does anyone know if it's important? Is there even a kind soul who could scan theirs for me and email it to me?

    Johanna,

As far as I can tell, the insert is nothing more than a table of contents for what is on the video tape. I don't believe it contains any additional information that is not presented on the tape.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am mistaken.

    Hope that helps,
    Snazzlefrag

    Johanna,

There wasn't any insert included with my video either, so I wouldn't worry about it. I hope the videos work as well for you as they did for me.

    Good luck.

When I went to the website they had a downloadable free insert - it was a four page study guide with formulas, z-score table etc. Appears to be quite useful. Seems like they have something like this for almost all their videos so it may be worth checking out on other titles as well.

Maybe that's why they don't include a printed insert with the video tapes anymore..because it can be downloaded free from their web site. Saves on their expenses, I suppose.

Glad you got sorted out Johanna.

Best of luck with your exam,

They are kinda silly and almost painful to sit through but they were very helpful to me.

I sat through their macroeconomics video, and their little skits are extremely tacky. But they do get the point across and they are great for getting a good overview.

Does anyone have the Algebra I video on their computer that they would be willing to share? I couldn't find this one on Netflix, and the local library only has it on VHS.
