I studied for almost a month for American Literature and Human Growth. I took both tests on the same day and passed. For american literature I used the Norton's Anthology quizzes (online) and I read the Complete Idiots Guide to American Literature. The book helped perfectly. I am terrible at Humanitites and I took American Literature to complete the requirement. I hope you are able to get the book at your library. Best Wishes on your tests.

I am studying for this now, using the Complete Idiot's Guide to American Lit, plus the Norton site
It has quizzes that you can take, as well as an outline of the important styles and time periods. There is one for English Lit as well as other subjects. I just found these today as I am taking American Lit and English Lit next Tuesday. I know the Norton guides from Music, but I had never seen these before. Hope the American Lit Norton is helpful...or have you already taken the test? Cheers CT

Hi, I'm using the Idiots Guide to Amer. Literature and I'm not feeling confident that this book alone will help me pass this exam because the sample peterson's exam is much more difficult. So I borrowed some cassete tapes from the library called Classics of American Literature from The Teaching company.
Mary and Brian, I so envious of you guys because you passed this exam like its no big deal while I'm still feeling like I'm going to fail. Passed CLEP-Micro,Psy. |

Quote:
Please don't feel envy as speaking for myself I felt the same way you do going into an exam and euphoric when I receive my results. There is always a certain amount of self-doubt going in but I would never sit an exam unless I was confident in passing. I'm not talking about the statistical odds of getting at least half or more correct sealing a victory, but really knowing my stuff. In any event - YOU WILL PASS if prepared despite feeling a little uneasy going in. GOOD LUCK!!!
