    Exclamation Ethics?

I would think we're entering troublesome waters if someone is copying a commercially available study chart and sending PDFs around to people.

Folks: Please go to the Spark Charts website and order them. You can download them direct, and they're reasonably priced.

Posters: Please go for a one-for-one relationship on these charts-- if someone wants to buy the original, please sell it to them and pack it up and ship it. It's not fair to make money on (or really, even hand around freely without permission) copied versions of these charts. Copyright and fair use laws exist for a reason, and when people ignore them, it's harder to tell outfits like the RIAA to go pound sand.

Maybe there should be a minimum post count before people start selling/trading things. If you notice in one of my posts I said i would trade a REA book but not with someone who just joined the forum with few posts.

    Default You are right

I usually only share things I have gotten for free and am not sure where they came from. I think of this just as sharing resources with a friend. If I have a book and my friend wants to read it I don't tell her go buy it.

But I have always given to all that I see asking. I like the idea of waiting and seeing if these people are only here to get a few study guides, who knows they may be asking for them for free then go sell them on Ebay.

In the future I will only share with more seasoned posters.

    Default Good Observation

    Pitbull,
That's a good observation. I think I'll be doing the same as far as sharing with seasoned and active members of the forum. Last thing we need is to screw up the reputation and good thing we have going here on this forum.

Who ever makes the voting polls should make one on minimum amount of posts someone needs before we start sending out study material.

Thats not a bad idea. Whoever feels they have verbage skills today should go for it.

I think people should at least contribute alittle or ask some questions, say hi whatever before they just jump on and say "hey I want all of these". Im not trying to offend any new people but on alot of forums there is this problem or what some call "trolls".

Plus all the resurrecting of old posts is silly. I dont even think alot of people get what they are asking for yet more and more people keep asking for stuff.

So far ive had a good experience on here with trading books with people on the honor system. You mail me one, I mail you one etc. Some who have posted I PM them and they never answer, same with emails...so that is where my original comment came from.

Nothing wrong with free stuff, its just cool when people return the favor.
