I, too, used IC only and passed this with an A. It was the easiest exam I've taken to date. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a natural science...

Okay, I admit, I am distraught at the fact that I failed Biology yesterday. Made a 42. The test was way harder then I expected. Anyway, I have been reading the different posts on Natural Science and thought I would try that as not to wait 6 months for a retake and it will satisfy my science.
Shotojuku you posted a link to David and Laurie's Downloadable Natural Science CLEP notes. Is this a good source. I have the Biology REA, IC and Peterson's for Biology, I'm just looking for something that will zero in on the portions that biology did not cover. You would think that with all of that I could have pased biology. I would also like to hear from any and all else who's used the David and Laurie resource. Even though I'm shy about writing in forums, i just want to let you all know that i have gained much knowlege and encouragement for all of the readings. Thanks a million! Journey |

Make sure you study hard for Natural Sciences!!! For me, this was the hardest CLEP I've taken as of yet. I'll admit I'm not much of a science person; I did enjoy studying for it though. It was just...not easy. I majored on Biology part, and when I took practice tests, I looked up the answers and the subject to the question for Physics. So I didn't do a whole lot with physics, but I learned some of the basic info. Then I just reviewed Chemistry as I took it about two years ago (in high school). There was stuff on this test that even my dad (who was a science teacher for years) didn't recognize. OH! and the Comex book is good, but not nearly enough to pass. Not for me anyhow. I did pass. But not by much. Don't get discouraged though. Keep at it. If I can do it, anyone can.
