You know there is a set of IC flashcards for that topic, don't you? After going through those, do you feel you need more help than that? I haven't yet taken it but it should be a pretty straight-forward exam if you have some background in it. I will take it in a month or so. When are you scheduled to take it?

I took that exam last week. All I used was IC. I haven't got my results back yet but I felt pretty confident about it. You should do fine with just IC and maybe use wilkapedia to search some counseling material.

    Default Fundamentals of Counseling

    Hi!
I am very new to this and just took my first test after using IC for Fundamentals of Education and didn't pass. I missed it by 3 points. So bummed! I am now studying for Fundamentals of Counseling. I am a little nervous since I only used IC as my study materials and still didn't pass. There were only 10 questions on the whole test that applied to the study materials. Does anyone have suggestions on additional study materials for Fundamentals of Counseling before I walk down loser road again?

Thanks so much to all of you.
    Danielle

    Default Passed this test

I study with the IC cards, was not real confident when I finished it...however I passed with a 55. You need a 45 to pass. I will say that I have taken other Psy. classes and have spent some time with counselors over the years.

    Good Luck.

I'm studying for this test right now. I'm using IC mostly. If you go to the Dantes web site at The DSST Program click on Adult students and learners. then test prep materials. then it will give you the fact sheets for all the dantes exams. That is complete with a few practice questions, and outline for the test, and some of the recommended books.
However, definitely use instacert, it's a great resource for this test.
Good Luck. let us know how you do
