I've been looking into CCU and I think I'm going to enroll there for my MBA as soon as I finish my BA. I was wondering, what does their diploma look like?
I guess I'm just hoping it doesn't look like EC's haha.

California Coast University. From what I understand, it's accredited, online, and self paced. Plus, the tuition seems really reasonable.

Thank you for the heads up. I am aware that it's DETC, but that makes no difference to me. I'm going to use the degree to further my military career and the military views RA and NA as equals. Just so long as NA doesn't mean "Not Accredited" haha

I do not know what military you are in but the navy doesn't recognize NA degrees, NA degrees wont get you a commission and they wont help you make O4 or O5. The only NA degrees they accept is NA associates degrees, only in a tech field because they offer a lot of hands on learning and vocational degrees that apply to you military job directly.

That sucks. One more reason to go Army
![]() Seriously though, on their website, CCU has a list of "Companies, organizations and agencies that have recognized and/or provided financial educational assistance to students of California Coast University." The Navy is on there, as is every other branch of the military. Servicemembers can also use military tuition assistance at CCU. California Coast University - Recognition of the University's Degrees Here's another quote: "If a school isn’t regionally or nationally accredited, the soldier’s work cannot be posted on the military personnel record" http://www.army.mil/publications/sol...a/winter03.pdf I just want to know what the diploma looks like haha.

For what its' worth, I liked my EC diploma. I applied to CCU and was accepted. I took a new job and the director strongly suggested that I take a local college grad program. My CCU acceptance expired a couple of weeks ago. I wish I would have continued with CCU and will probably apply again in the near future. I realized that their program really is the best program for my current situation and I have no time to take classes. I really searched hard for alternatives and spent hours and hours of research into options. I found that none were better for my needs.

That's great! Maybe they've improved them--or maybe you get a better one if you graduate magna cum laude. You certainly deserve a better one! It would be cool if you could scan a copy so we all could see it. You may want to block out your last name for privacy, but if you have the capability I think a lot of folks would like to know what they look like now.
