I took that test and passed it. I used the REA guide, but you can't really "study" for this test as you do for another test. You really are tested on your reading comprehension - you are given a passage, then asked some questions about the passage. Unfortunately, some of the questions may involve a certain amount of opinion and judgement. The tough part is if you have to read a passage in "olde" english.

The REA guide was helpful because it showed me what to expect from the questions, but I can't claim that its use raised my score. However, if your results from the REA sample tests are poor, then you have to figure out some method of raising your reading comprehension level - the REA guide may help with this, I don't know.

Default Truly Pass/Fail

I think, with this exam, you will either pass it or fail it. I went through the study guide questions once. Three weeks later I sat the test and scored a 64. I'd recommend trying the sample questions, if you get over half correct go ahead gamble on the exam. I wouldn't spend more that 90 minutes studying. In spite of terms I didn't know I still passed. I may have gotten lucky and guessed the right answer on those questions but I doubt it. I may have scored better if I'd studied those terms who knows.
