Question Human Resource Management (ECE)

After almost a two month delay (new baby boy), I’m getting back to finishing up my degree. I’m taking the Human Resource Management (ECE) test tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone can give me some words of wisdom.

I plan on only studying Instacert and using the DSST study guide.

Hi PriTyan,

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. It's great to have you back.

When you say you "plan on only studying..." is that just a turn of phrase, or does it mean you really haven't studied yet?

I mean....with your exam being tomorrow and all....you have...you know....studied....right?

I can tell you that the DSST Study Guide along with Instantcert was AMPLE material to pass the DANTES version of the exam with an 'A'. I suspect that it will also be sufficient for the ECE version. But I will let someone who has actually take the ECE exam confirm that for you.

Anyway, congrats again on your new baby, and best of luck on your exam tomorrow.

Let us know how it goes.

We'll be rooting for you,
Snazzlefrag

Thanks, Its good to be back and anxious to finish up. I was hoping to complete my exams before Dylan was born, but it did not work out as expected.

I have 2 ECE exams, 2 Clep/Dantes for credit accumulation and I’m taking Network+ and Security + CompTIA exams to finish my upper level credit requirements. The CompTIA certifications should be relatively easy since I’ve been in the Network/Security field for 10+ years.

LOL – Ya, I’ve been studying Instacert for the last week and plan on reviewing it tonight and studying the DSST official Test Preparation Guide. I’ve always received great feedback and suggestions from other students regarding test and have not seen too much discussion about the ECE version of HRM.

COSC will not accept the Dantes version as UL but will accept ECE as UL.

I have to admit that I’m a little apprehensive about taking ECE Exams. I’ve taken the Ethics ECE and it was much harder for me than the Dantes version. I passed with a B, but though for sure that I failed that one.

Nonetheless, I’ll cram all night and let you know how it goes tomorrow.

I should have posted my results Thursday after my test. I passed with a B using Instacert and the dsst official test-preparation guide. Probably would have got an A if I would have put forth more study effort, but 3 credits nonetheless.

Now off to start studying for ECE Organizational Behavior which I have scheduled for Wednesday Morning.

PriTyan,

What an amazing coincidence! I just took the ECE HRM and got a "B" too! It was the first time that I used InstantCert Academy.

AND I am planning on taking the ECE OB test in a few days, also. I've used InstantCert, plus some others for that. From the ECE practice exams, it seems as though there is much more to know for OB than for HRM.

Good luck on your test!
