Good question.....

I would say that if one follows the basic theory of the "piggyback" plan where Soc, Psych, Hum Gwth & Dev, and Ed Psych build from one another I would say another solid week of study after the first two were complete. If taking it cold, then a solid two weeks.

Then again, the learning curve may be faster or slower so ALWAYS use mock/practice exams to gauge you progress.

GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Magic. I found that about one week of study for the Human Growth & Development was fine but I had already taken Intro Soc and Intro Psych, both of which were helpful. To give you an idea of what a study week is to me, I study every night for an hour or so and try to study on Sundays for at least a 3 or 4 hour block. I also try to fit in 15 min. or so at lunch time. From what I can gather from other people's posts, I am probably somewhere in the middle of how long it usually takes to prepare for these lower level exams.

What's important is whether or not you feel like you are ready. IC and looking up anything unfamiliar on Wikipedia is all most would need to pass this one. If you know and understand the answers to the flashcards you are ready! If you take a Peterson's practice test and get at least 60% right (some say 50%), then I would feel really confident that you will pass it!

BTW, after you pass this you may want to take Intro Educational Psych too. There is a lot of overlap so you would already be pretty much prepared to pick up another 3 credits.

Hope this helps,
Librevore

Thanks. This gives me a really good idea of study time. I am lucky to be able to study as many hours in a day as I want.

Congratulations Brian on finishing that Math class. I'm sure you'll ace the final.

What did you think of that class? Was it difficult for you?

It wasn't too bad, just six (open book) exams consisting of 20-25 questions. If you fail any you get to take a make-up. The proctored final is open book too and consists of around 15 questions.

I'm hoping that my proctor receives the exam shortly as I really just want to get it over with and also say that I am FINISHED!!!!!
