Hi Everyone,
I am very tentatively considering tackling Business Law II at some point. Sadly, Instantcert doesn't yet cover this exam. So for my own benefit as well as others, I wonder if we could put our heads together and fill this thread with feedback, advice, tips, tricks, and opinions on the Business Law II exam. I haven't been able to find many online study resources for this particular exam either. So if anybody knows of any useful sites, or has notes, pdf's etc. to share, please speak up. Here are the online resources I have found so far: http://www.csun.edu/~re38791/pace/co...CE_OUTLINE.htm http://homepage.gallaudet.edu/Marsha...48.review.html http://www.fscwv.edu/users/rharvey/blaw2.htm ---- Thanks in advance for your input, Snazzlefrag

I've not seen much on this test. The only suggestion I've seen is from here;

If others from this board don't have more ideas you could always ask Mark. I'd feel odd about mentioning other forums, but a good portion of the responses for the various requests for study material on that forum are to come here ![]()

I used the following resources for this exam: Barron's Business Law- If I had to choose only 1, this would be it. REA Business Law 1&2 Instacert for BL1 Rudman's DSST Business Law Q&A study guide- Excellent resource (a little hard to find) Highly reccommended. A good understanding of Business Law 1 helps alot on BL2. As others have mentioned, focus on commercial paper. I did find some overlap from the Clep BL1 exam. I did better on BL2 than I did on BL1!

Hi All,
I took Business Law II this morning. It was a bear of an exam. Not so much because I didn't know the material, but rather because the vast majority of the questions were of the "scenario" type. As a result, you have to take what you know and APPLY it to the given situation. It's doable....but it's cumbersome and wearying. The good news is that it wasn't quite as difficult as I had anticipated. If you know all the items listed in the DSST factsheet, you should be able to figure out the answers to LOTS of the scenarios. Many of the questions SEEMED complex and intimidating at first, but actually boiled down to just needing to know a very simple term or concept...and then apply it. Once again, I find myself uncertain about how I did on this exam. I think I passed, but I have no clue what my score will be. I wouldn't be surprised if I got a low score, and I wouldn't be surprised if I got a high score. Studying for CLEP Intro to Business Law FIRST is definitely helpful. There were a few questions that asked about concepts I had already learned for the lower level exam. Make sure you know EVERY item listed in the factsheet, and you should be able to pull this one off successfully. But you WILL need to have the ability to APPLY what you know, rather than just recall it. I can't really give you any specifics for this exam. There were too many complex scenarios to try and remember now. Also, I am not sure whether I got the questions right or not, so I'm keeping quiet! Just go down the factsheet and make sure you know every item listed. That's the best advice I've got for ya, Snazzlefrag

Hi All,
I got my score for DANTES Business Law II in the mail today (after 14 days). I scored a 72. I obviously did something right. So the advice I gave in my earlier post still stands. Thanks to everyone who helped me pass this exam, Snazzlefrag

You did awesome. Working on this exam myself right now. Moving ahead very slowly.
One step at a time will do it though! Christa

I took Business Law II yesterday and scored a 62. It was my first test using the new computerized system, and it went well. It took me about an hour and ten minutes to complete 93 questions. I like the new setup, you can scroll through the test at any point and review you responses, and the best part is INSTANT SCORING!
I remembered the warnings about commercial paper so I covered that material thoroughly. One part that I did not cover as well as I should have was the questions on corporations and partnerships (the roles and responsibilities of stockholders, board of directers, presidents, v.p.'s, treasurers, LLP's, LLC's, limited vs. unlimited liability, etc.) Glad to have this one behind me. |
