ECE tests

I just found out that my college also takes ECE tests. I have to achieve a certain score or grade for my college's requirements to get credit.

However I can't seem to find a testing center that offers them in my area...Indiana.

I registered on the Excelsior site, but the part of the web site that lists testing centers is down.

As I understand it, theses tests are online, and results are sent immediately just like CLEPS?

Any advice on finding test centers. One site said that the centers used to be Sylvan technology centers?

Greetings from another Hoosier. Here in the Northwest I take the tests at a Prometric site in Merrillville.


Go to www.2test.com click the Academic radio button, then Excelsior from the drown down, pick the country, state, and Click Next. Then pick locate a test center, pick a random excelsior test, and next again.

Indiana sites include: Carmel, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Indy, Lafayette, Merrillville, Mishawaka, and Terre Haute..


Keep in mind that Excelsior is moving their testing to Vue as of Sept 1.

Vue has sites across the state as well, but Excelsior isn't yet listed on their website so I can't be completely sure which Vue sites will do Excelsior testing. I would assume Evansville, Fort Wayne, Indy, Merrillville, and Terre Haute, but it could be more.

For Excelsior students it's even better. They're sent directly to Excelsior so no waiting like there is with CLEP. However, I don't know how ECE's work for other schools. You'll want to verify with someone at Excelsior testadm@excelsior.edu to determine how they send the transcripts to your school.
