Is Natural Sciences very "in-depth"?
I am taking this test next week, and wondering if it is basic info or very "in-depth" information on the test? I studied the "Passyourclass.com" text, and the "David & Laurie" one as well. I looked over the info & tests out of the "Clep Success" book. So, for those of you who took it (passed,or failed), did it seem tough or what?

I purchased the passyourclass review, but didn't find it very helpful, although others might.
I did use Peterson's CLEP Success. What I found most helpful about this was reading and rereading the Overview sections which touch on many important areas covered in the exam. Then I answered all the sample questions and studied them with the corrected answers. I scored a 60. Not very high, but good enough.  I listed a site with a free .PDF copy of this handbook before, but here it is again. I suggest using Internet Explorer to open it, as Firefox froze up on me. http://www.petersons.com/airforce/cl...asp?sponsor=8. The "Read Book Now" button takes you to the book with all general exams, where the Overview section can be found starting on page 329, and at the bottom are 17 full-length exams and answers.

I took the Biology Clep first, passed it and boned up on the the other half of the material for two weeks and then took the Natural Sciences clep and passed it easily. GOOD LUCK

I just took this clep test and passed with a 58. It was nerve racking, and I feel I overstudied in many areas not necessary. The majority of biology questions were basic things that a fairly educated adult would know. A lot of questions were on chemical compounds, so be familiar with them. I feel that is the part I could have done better on.

Congrats!!! I plan on taking this test too within the next couple weeks. I haven't even started to look at anything. Other than the chemical compunds, were there other areas I should really study? What did you use to study?

Like the others have mentioned, know your Biology well. I had studied for the CLEP Biology (not having the Natural Sciences exam in mind) and then after passing I was looking at what exam to take next, my eyes lit up when I found out that this test was 50% Biology. I only had to study for two nights right after the bio exam to score a 71.
The exam felt pretty easy. I think a good part of this exam concentrates on reading graphs and analyzing data. All in all, a very passable exam. Good luck!
