Hello Everyone
You may remember my post from last week. I am the newbie that has been losing nerve to go sit the tests. Well I am happy to report that I finally grabbed the bull by the horns! Now for some good/bad news. I got 47 on principles of marketing 60 on Freshman Engish composition Prin of marketing was the first one I took and there was definitely nerves with this one. Also my pacing thru the test was a bit off. I took too much time re reading the first 20 questions and fell short on time in the end. In the end I had a lot of questions I had marked undone and basically guessed the ones that were not done in the last 5-7 minutes. I think that was a big mistake. In the second test I was much more comfortable and able to pace myself in the whole exam. But I am so happy I did it. This has really opened doors for me making me feel more comfortable with the idea of taking more tests. Thanks to all those who offered encouraging words. Cindy |

Congratulations Cindy. I am glad to hear that you decided to take the plunge. Don't feel too bad - the good news/bad news proposition is a familiar tone for many people who decide to take two CLEP exams at the same time. I have done the double-CLEP thing too, but having done both, I definitely think it is more reasonable for me to go with just one per sitting.
However, the important thing here is that you decided to go after it! My advice is to enjoy your victory over Freshman Comp. and don't let the 47 in Principles of Marketing drag you down for any length of time. Once you get to know the format of the exams, along with your own style of learning and test-taking, this process will get a whole lot easier. Cheers to your success with Freshman Comp. and all of your future exams!

Greathomes congratulations on passing English Comp!!
Sorry about the marketing - you were v. close - you can redo it in 6 months and even tho' time will have passed, I suspect you will remember a lot of the material anyway after doing a once over, so all it is not lost on this one! What are you going to try next?
