Hey!
I just joined this website 2 days ago. I took the Spanish CLEP on a whim today and passed with a 62. I'm not a native speaker, I didn't study, and I had 25 minutes left at the end... but I had to pee, so I didn't bother going over it, lol. My school gave me 8 credits. That's more than enough, seeing as I'm 18 and already entering my junior year at college. Next, I'd like to take macro and micro economics, for my Math and Social Science gen eds. I'll be doing macro first. Please help! I need at least a 50. Will reviewing the IC questions be enough? Are there any concepts I should focus on? Any external links you could recommend? Free study guides are awesome, if anyone would be willing to share one. Let me know. Thanks everyone! |

I took the CLEP Macroeconomics and the CLEP Microeconomics. Your plan to take macroeconomics first is what I would advise. Once you get familiar with Macro, microecnomics flows pretty easily from that.
I used two resources prepping for both. First was obviously InstantCert. I also picks up the 'CliffsAP Economics- Macro and Micro' guide. Amazon.com: Economics Micro & Macro (CliffsAP): Ronald Pirayoff: Books The Cliffs AP guide helped me to make better sense of the InstantCert material. It does come with several practice tests, but I didn't even bother taking any of them. I just read through the study material, took notes with InstantCert, and finally took the Petersons.com practice test for Macro and Micro. I think I spent 2 weeks prepping for Macro (got a 58), and another week after that prepping for Micro (got a 59). There is a whole lot of overlap for both of these exams. Studying for one is pretty much the same as studying for both. Best of luck.
