Default Intro to Psych

I have been studying for Intro to Psych for what seems like forever now. I took 1 of the REA practice tests scored a 56 and I thought the stuff on there was stuff I had never seen before. I also took one of the Peterson's exam and scored a 58. Some of the material on that exam seemed more familiar. I
guess I am just concerned that I will not do well on the CLEP any advice?

Thanks
Jackie

I just passed the clep intro to psych wth a 62 a few days ago. The REA book was a good overview but I also only made like 55 on the practice tests. I found that instantcert got me ready in about a week. you can do it. The psych exam is pretty straightforward. If you have read the REA book and have went through the Instantcert questions a few times you'll do fine.

I've used quite a few REA books and I have noticed that some of the questions in the REA practice tests covers material that is not specifically written up in the REA chapters. That's why I always read the text/explanations that come with the answers to fill in the gaps. Sort of like how IC has much more info in the explanation area for the flashcards.

Perhaps you could read the REA explanations for questions you got wrong/were unsure of - you might feel more comfortable about the test.

Also, have you considered doing one more REA test? No-one but you can decide when you are ready, however, there are several users on this forum who say that if they score >50% on 2 REA's or Peterson's tests then they can pass the CLEP.

When you say forever - how much study time have you put in? Have you tried the IC flashcards? I typically use more than one resource depending on the subject - altho' there appear to be quite a few who only use IC - it sorta depends on your learning style and what works for you.

I took this exam this morning and scored 63. I am glad that is over, I had a hard time getting motivated for that one. Anyway I studied for about a month and a half for it on and off. I think World Religions is up next. Thanks for the advice.

Congrats! you obviously knew more than enough to get an A! Well done!

World Religions - the Specific Exam feedback on this one is right on the money.

I know what you mean about having a hard time getting motivated for some of these exams! I find it much more efficient to study in one or two blocks rather than spreading it out over a number of weeks, but it is so hard to find those blocks of time with everything else going on!
