Good question! I took my freshman comp eons ago, but if I were in your shoes, I'd really want to take the CLEP. It's generally the cheapest overall. Can you check with your advisor to see if it qualifies?

Default Gotta check!

I can only speak for a BS in General Business at Excelsior. The English CLEP with or without the essay does not fullfil the English requirement... I got lucky as English Comp was one of the classes I took at a traditional school. There is an ECE (ENGX111) that you can take for $295 plus proctoring fees. It is a six credit lower level exam.

The ECE College Writing exam wiill also fulfill the written english requirement at Excelsior. It's 3 LL credits, and costs $205 plus fees.
