Default Which History Test to Take?

I am not very good at History, so I am trying to figure out which test to study that might be passable for me. I do know a bit of the OT Bible history.

I can take:

West Civ I or II
or
US History I or II

Hi there. I personally recommend US History 2 in your situation. The only reason I suggest this particular exam is because more of the information you need to study will be relevant to today. I always find concepts easier to grasp when I can apply them to real life. A good example of this is FDR implementing Social Security as you know it today. Also, if you are an adult learner, you will likely already have some ability to recall some of the more recent events in US history.

I wouldn't say I am a "history buff" by any means, but I actually found US History 2 to be a real pleasure to study for. I was particularly interested in learning how the Civil Rights Movement evolved over time. I think you may be surprised how much you like history after this experience.

Thanks for the advice.

I found a free link in here to peterson's clep test, I took the West Civ I and scored a 40 with no previous studing. To the best of your knowledge would that be good starting ground. I have never taken a CLEP test before so I'm a bit nervous and in the dark.

I took Western Civ I cold. Fairly easy exam, especially if you know your material. Keep studying and before you know it, you could do great on the Peterson's exam and on the CLEP. Good Luck!

Thumbs up Passed with a 60

I took the Western Civ I CLEP today and passed with a 60. I was a little worried since I only got 39, 44, and 49 on the Petersons exams.
