Default Which CLEP to take?

Hi all,

So I only need 3 credits to finish up my associates degree, then I plan on getting to work on my bachelors. And for those last 3 credits I'd like to get them out of the way with a CLEP test. My options have narrowed down to the following: Educational Psychology, Western Civilization I, Principles of Management or Marketing. I just took sciology and psychology at uni classes, and passed the Human Growth and Development CLEP with a 55, so I think educational psy may be the way to go, but with my last score on Human Growth and Development using mainly IC only a 55 I'm not so sure. I also have about 2 weeks to study. Could anyone recommend which of those would be the best(easiest) to take?

thanks

With your Psych foundation - Ed Psych would be your first best choice.

If you want to try something new that still retains a slight Psych relationship then try Principles of Management - Good Luck!

Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure about Ed. Psych. either given your score on Human Growth and Development, but still the former is a relatively easy exam if you have enough pyschology background. I got a 60 on that exam with less than 3 hours of IC study alone (I had taken Psychology and Human Growth & Development several months before that one).

Although 60 is not a great score, I really felt comfortable on the exam and knew I was passing, although I expected a higher score. I really can't complain though, given the effort expended.

Why not go quickly through the IC material at least once and then try the Peterson's test as well the official study guide on the subject to gauge where you stand?

Management is known to be an easy exam, but unless you really want the subject on your transcript, the Ed. Psych. may turn out to be a practical freebie.

60 is a GREAT score, it is considered an A and they dont give A+ so yeah it is great.

Western Civ I. It would take less than a week to study for and the majority of the questions are quite easy. See the exam feedbak section for more info. Good Luck!

Thanks for the replys. I've narrowed it down to either the ed. psy. or the prin. managment. How can I take this Petersons test? Been seeing it posted all over these forums, went to the site and the only thing I found was that they require a $20 fee for it. Any info on that? thanks again

Thanks for the link. I took one of the ed. psy. tests, and out of 100 got 44 right , and thats with no prior study and I raced through it. Does the score on those tests usually reflect what people get on the CLEP?

Sometimes the Peterson's test actually reflect what you might get on the CLEP. Some of their exams are harder than the real thing but look over the exam feedback section. I'm still gonna stand by my Western Civ I CLEP, so try taking the Peterson's exam on that. Good Luck!
