    Default Stats Z Table Question

OK. Statistics for Idiots has a Z table based on the area 1 and the Instacert pop-up table is based on 1/2 the area.

It changes the methodology and I don't have the brain space to keep track of both.

    What does the exam use?????

I ran into that same problem but on my version of the test it didn't matter. I never had to calculate a z-score of use a z-table.
    Happy studying!

Well, thanks. Instacert sure seems to have enough of the problems. What a nightmare to think I'm spending Instacert time on things that don't matter.

I don't know if I would go that far. I did have to know what a z-score was and how they were used. Plus, there is more that one version so you could get asked a ton of questions on that, you just never know!

I also did not need the z-score table at the back. With math being a weak subject I studied with IC and the Idiots Guide to Statistics and still managed an 80 (I overstudied). Work through each twice and you should be fine, the majority of the test I took simply required a deep understanding of the theory, and relativly little problem solving.

Thanks for the input. I should have time to get through instacert twice and probably most of idiots guide twice as well. Some of it is just going to remain lost on me. I have til Tuesday afternoon with not else much to do.

So far I've probably done about 3/4 of both instacert questions and idiots. I'm seem to be doing alright. The lack of a practice test is sort of disconcerting.

Have you tried the practice exam in the DANTE study guide? I am taking the same exam on Saturday and the exam guide helped me out a lot on my last DANTE exam...
