Anyone else starting with 0 credits?

Well i actually have 6 credits now because I passed the Interpreting literature class.I am very good at research and obtaining study materials, but i pretty much suck at getting organized and keeping a schedule. Maybe we can work together and help each other achieve our goals.

Just a quick message to you all. I' m a relative newbie on here. If your a procrastinator, you've found a great site, especially if your strapped for cash or want a degree quick. If I knew about this site a long time ago, I would have gotten my degree this way. All my credits are traditional except (1) right now and 2 if I passed Drugs DSST. My 100 credits were bought and paid for w/a lot of time. Like it was stated on here before, this is an quick and inexpensive way to get your degree and then you can use the $$$$ saved to use it on a graduate certificate or Masters to add credence to your work. That's how I feel. If your young, do it now, don't wait, it's tougher as you get older (much tougher). I am in no way tied in to InstaCert either. If you don't have a solid trade or a good hook-up for a job, you need the degree to "Have the Dream". I personally feel certain degrees are overrated in this country and eliminate poorer citizens from decent jobs, but the paper is the paper and the job numbers speak for themselves.

Networking and knowing someone (being connected) is a huge plus, there's no getting around that. If your starting out, don't have connections, and don't want to go to a trade school, a degree may give you a leg up. I think it's worth the time if your young and fall in those categories. Really, if I were young, I'd go in the Air Force, get as much schooling as possible and take it from there. There are people who work their way up the ladder, but that's the diificult way, especially the way things are nowadays. One thing I'll say about this website, for people who want to have the dream and have a very limited amount of cash to spend (if any), this might make it possible. It's an online pep rally, I'll never knock that.

I want the degree so I can do the job I want. I'm 27 and made 50k last year which isn't bad, but I hate working with computers. I want to be a teacher or counselor, maybe even a police officer. Something I would enjoy going to everyday. The degree is a requirement the salary is not important and the degree is the only way I can get my foot in the door.
