Default Verbalizing One's Goals

Motivational speakers are always saying how positive it is to state your goals to others so as to reinforce the sense of committment you make to that desired goal. So in keeping with that spirit ..in the next 3 weeks I am going to take both a 6 credit college math clep and a 6 credit natural science clep.
Now that will be 12 credits..12 more than I need to graduate, but these two yuk courses hold the key to my cap, gown, and future. So, what's your goal for the next 30 days. Let's see how ambitious and aggressive my fellow 'Instantcerter's" are willing to be.

In the next 30 days I plan on taking:
May 23 - DSST Ethics in America (3L)
May 23 - DSST Fundamentals of Counseling (3L)
May 26 - ECE Foundations in Gerontology (3L)
June 2 - DSST Criminal Justice (3L)
June 2 - DSST Management Information Systems (3U)
June 7 - DSST Drug and Alcohol Abuse (3U)
I might replace Gerontology and Criminal Justice with College Math, but I'm not sure yet.

Also, I took College Algebra a few years back and got a B. I want to take the CLEP and see if I can get an A, but this might be a crapshoot.

Default 30 days

Hello all,

In the next 30 days I am hoping to finish all the testing for my degree. If I have passed the DSST's I am awaiting results for, that will leave 2. One scheduled on 5/30/06 and one on 6/6/06....ewww..that is the first time I wrote it out like that. Maybe I should change that one considering it is the dreaded Algebra.
Right now I am struggling through two Excelsior classes. Business policy and strategy and Op Management. I have a great professor in Business strategy but I am doing sort of poorly on the quizzes...they are a large part of the grade. In Op Management...I am leary of the professor. He is unresponsive and not very interactive. I got a 67% on my first homework assignment (It was not 100% correct but, trying to be objective, I really don't think it was that bad) I expressed concern in an email because his comment was "give me more in the chapter discussions" yet on the second assignment, which he gave us 2 weeks to complete...he stated clearly...
"Be sure to specify one of these choices clearly (and nothing else) for each problem."
So I submitted it. With 3 problems, there were nine pieces of information. 6 numbers and 6 words. Now I am afraid he will give me a bad score again. When he FINALLY answered my email, he re-read me the instructions and wrote his usual "cut and paste" If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I only need to pass so I am trying not to worry about it but a part of me is feeling a little cheated here.

Default I Feel Humbled

All these great goals and AGGRESSIVENESS the likes you will only find on Insatantcert. Never let it be said that the classroom is a great motivator. You all are proving that motivation comes from within and it's an inspiration to everyone of us striving for the same end goal.

Hi Ana!

I will be taking Ethics in America in July, so I would love it if you could please post what I should expect from the exam, i.e. if there are some areas covered more than others.

I am taking an Intro. to Philosophy class right now, and I was told that that would help me when I take the Ethics test, so I hope my counselor was right!

Good luck on your test!

Will do Joanne.
I plan on taking Ethics and Fundamentals of Counseling on Wednesday 5/23, but I haven't yet scheduled it. I've read from others' postings here that IC is enough for this one, so I'm hopeful.

Well with me I am taking 3 classes at a local college for summer school and also 2 online classes with Excelsior: Religion in Society and Sports in History. So my goal for the next 30 days is the intro to sociology CLEP.

I am also taking flying lessons on the weekends at working 30 hours per week and studying for a big exam kind of like the SAT so I don't really have that much time for testing out right now.
