Default Okay, I'm Convinced

A couple of weeks ago I took Clep Prin. of Management and passed by poaching information from this site and just studying the online Cliffs notes. It was enough to pass (68) but I was still skeptical of paying the $20 for a membership to IC for my Marketing CLEP, mainly because I'm a cheap bastard and wasn't entirely convinced. However, I finally relented and paid the dough....BEST MONEY EVER SPENT!

Last night I took the Clep Marketing exam and passed with a 71! I can confidently say that IC alone is enough to pass this test comfortably. Almost everything that was on the test was covered by IC and most of everything else could be reasoned out if you understand the concepts. 2 weeks of studying IC religiously was more than enough and $20 is much better than paying hundreds of dollars for classes at my local community college.

I can say now that I am a true believer in the InstantCert concept and I'm thinking of taking the Business Law CLEP. I just don't know if I can handle another subject in addition to taking Accounting I and Algebra at my Community College and juggling a full time job and family. Oh well, maybe I'll just passively review the business law material on IC during down times at my work and if I feel comfortable with the information I'll take the test.

I would like thank the IC community for posting their stories of success to inspire me, and would also like to thank Joel66 for providing me with the CLEP practice test for marketing, it was most beneficial.

Dear Cheap Bastard:

Welcome aboard! I, too, hesitated before I jumped in and I can't imagine how much TIME and MONEY I would have spent (wasted) doing this without IC. Your plan is perfect and is EXACTLY why IC is so valuable. I have a family of four and a full-time job and took two semesters of Accounting as well as a college work/study program and a short Intro to Research class--so I know all about trying to take on too much. That's why IC fits in so perfectly. You just log on whenever you have a few minutes here and there--and before you know it you have half of it down. A few days of focused study before the test to get the rest and it's another three credits in the bag. Not to mention--other test prep aids want $40-$250 PER TEST. IC gives you everything they have for $20 per month--and this forum is bursting at the seams with success after success. Welcome and good luck!

Welcome to IC!

I was also very skeptical until I took the plunge. After that, I never looked back! It paved the way for my degree, which has already paid for itself in my new career.
