    Default CLEP American Government

I took this test, I felt like I was getting almost every question right, I hit the score button I got a 52 lol

Hey at least I passed but I was kind of shocked to receive this score.

    Anyone have any similar circumstances?

I felt the same way! I was very confident through the test. I thought I would for sure get a 70 and ended up with a 62. Kind of the opposite of how I felt with A&I Lit. that one I was sure I was bombing and got a 72!

Am Gvt is one of those exams that most of us believed we did really well in until we hit the score button.

    However.......A Pass is a Pass!!

Yes, there have been a few times when I felt sure I should have gotten a MUCH higher score. Sheesh, what's the matter with this testing system anyway??? LOL! I got a good score on Am. Gov (70, if I remember right) but I've been involved politically since I was a kid and had a lot of life experience to have it make sense for me.

Oh well, a pass is a pass! Keep up the good work!

Would you say that IC helped with studying for Am Govt? I'm taking Am Govt on Mon and I feel like I need to constantly study to pass this exam. I'm using Cliff Notes, Wiki, Clep Guide and IC but I'm not feeling very confident as yet. Any suggestions?

I would say IC helped but if you can get a list of the

    bill of rights

all of the major supreme court cases

know what powers the congress has and the president has provided in the constitution.

I used the cliff notes, IC, and one peterson exam. I think the peterson's exam was a pretty big hep. I wish I would've had more

It's one of those tests that do that, I think.

Then again, so was A/I Lit. I kept looking at all of the questions going, "WHAT Are they even asking?" and got a 73 I was convinced I squeaked by with like a 50...

AND a pass is a pass, so don't sweat it

Default CLEP American Govt Tough Exam

I just tested on American Government after studying for 2 weeks and failed miserably. I was very confident going in to the test since I was sure I knew all the major cases, amendments, etc. There were about 10 questions using graphs/charts and lots of what I would call hypothetical questions. BTW, I used IC, Cliff Notes, Petersons tests and everything else recommended. The Peterson's tests for sure were a lot easier than some of the questions on the exam. I grew up in a foriegn country so I studied a lot more for this test.

I'm not sure what happened but I'm still in a state of shock. I appreciate any advice anyone has on how the tests are scored, etc.
