Hi Hunter,

I can't help you with an actual Excelsior practice exam for this subject, but here's a link that might help you:

TESC Organizational Behavior Mock Exam:

Hope it helps.

Good luck,

Also,

If you need extra study material, try this web site:
(it is a geocities site so it may exceed it's data limit periodically...just keep checking back)

Good luck,

Thanks for the recommendation! I'm keeping this on my Favorites until I begin to study for this exam.

Snazelfrag - I'm studying for this exam right now. Any particular areas on that website that I need to pay attention to in addition to the Instantcert material? It just looks like course outlines, etc.

Steelers,

Each link on the page takes you to a specific page for each topic covered. You will need to compare the index of topics on the web page to the breakdown of the exam provided by Excelsior. If it's in the breakdown, study it! If it isn't, you can either skip it altogether or just skim through it.

Any extra material you read will help you on the exam. But you also want to make sure you focus in on the areas you are most likely to see on the exam. That's where the ECE fact sheet will come in handy!

Hope that helps,
Snazzlefrag
(P.S. I haven't taken this exam. The link is just something I found and thought it might prove helpful for you)

Hi Hunter,

I am studying for the DSST version of this exam. The DSST web site has practice exams available for OrgB as follows:

"We currently have practice exams available for the following DSST Titles:

Business and Math:

*
Principles of Supervision
*
Introduction to Business
*
Human Resource Management
*
Personal Finance
*
Introduction to Computing
*
Business Law II
*
Money and Banking
*
Organizational Behavior
*
Personal Finance

Health and Social Sciences:

*
Criminal Justice
*
Introduction to Law Enforcement
*
Life Span Development
*
Fundamentals of Counseling
*
Here’s to Your Health
*
Drug & Alcohol Abuse

Humanities:

*
Environment & Humanity
*
Ethics in America
*
Introduction to World Religions

Applied Technology:

*
o Technical Writing

The practice exams do NOT include actual examination questions. All questions pertain to general terms and concepts within the subject area.

There are two versions of each exam. A purchase entitles you to take one version of the practice exam two times. We recommend that you take “Version 1” first, and then purchase “Version 2”.

Each exam contains 50 multiple choice questions and provides you with immediate score results. The results are not intended to indicate how well you will do on the actual examination, but they will help you to find what content areas you need more study in, and what the exam experience is like.

To take a practice exam, simply follow the login instructions in the right-hand column of this page."

I am curious. Why are you taking the ECE version ?

Default ECE Organizational Behavior

Charlie
The Excelsior version is upper level. With it , you can satisfy both the Organizational Behavior requirement of a business degree and pick up 3 upper level elective credits at the same time.

Default Here's my 2c

Org. Behavior - 3
Org. Behavior - DSST 3 $88

Ethics - 3
Ethics - DSST 3 $88

Business Core - 27
Financial/Mang Acc. - CLEP 6 $70
Intro Business Law - CLEP 3 $70
Computers - CLEP 3 $70
Principles of Mang - CLEP 3 $70
Principles of Mark - CLEP 3 $70
Financial Management - DSST 3 $88
Prod/Ops Management - UNL 3 $513
Business Policy - UNL 3 $513

Advanced Business - 12
Human Resource Mang - ECE 3 $185
Labor Relations - ECE 3 $185
Management Info Systems - DSST 3 $88
Money and Banking - DSST 3 $88
This is my plan based largely on cost. What ever CLEPs I don't finish will go up but this puts the whole business requirement under $2,500. The two courses that I'm not sure of are Prod/Ops Management and Business Policy. The Excelsior site listed these under "Distance Learning" when I did the course search. They are only about 2/3 the cost of the same Excelsior classes.

If anyone has any better (less expensive or easier) ways to satify these requirements let me know.

Hunter.

I see. For me I do not need the upper credit (already covered), but do need the OB credit. I did not want to take a 3 hour test that cost $100 more. But understand your reasoning.

Along with ICERT, I am using the DSST online practice tests in addition to the TESC mock test previously mentioned above (many thanks to Snazzlefrag) to improve my confidence...I believe it is called "self efficacy" in OrgB parlance.

There is also a 50 question test in the DSST printed guide that I have found very useful. Anyway, good luck on the ECE. Have you scheduled yet? I am shooting for June 2nd at the latest, then on to Ethics in America.
