I took Principles of Marketing using only the questions in the complete Clep Study Guide and using the Sparks Chart for Marketing. I spent about 3 hours on it and got a 55. I'm studying Principles of Management and the IC test is really hard. I talked to my daughter who had taken it and she said all she did was the study Sparks Chart and the question in the study guide and she had no problem passing it. Anybody have any advice cause I'm totally lost with the IC test. Thanks!

When I did the IC flashcards, I wrote things down on paper, such as planning, directing, controlling, etc..... with their definitions and labeled them as to their functions. I also went on cliff notes.com free site and took the petersons practice tests. The petersons site is a great site since you can see the explanations for the correct answers to learn from.
I don't have the experience with the sparks, but I did manage to get a good score doing the aforementioned. ALSO, the feedback section on this board was invaluable. Last edited by barbara2bba : 12-21-2007 at 06:47 PM. |

I'm studying for this now and I'm not having much difficulty. I follow the video instructions to the letter. Here is my study process for IC Principles of Management. Quote:
The reason why I do them in order the first time is because it is given in a natural progression, which is a little easier for my initial retainment. With this process, I'm taking each part at least 4 times. I would say my average is closer to 6 times for 95% and above. --disclaimer-- this is not a recommendation to anyone, just an insight on my personal approach --disclaimer-- |

I took this test only studying the IC flashcards and scored a 71. I had no managerial experience or prior coursework to give me a leg up either. I've always have been given the assumption others found it easy as well.
