Default Anyone recommend a good and fast MBA program

Hi all. This is my first post. I just got my evaluation from Excelsior and was blown away that all I need for my BS LS is the Eng Comp. I had taken a few college classes and had tested Clep and Dantes while in the Navy 20 years ago. I had retired as a Navy Senior Chief in Electronics and that really helped with my upper-level classes. I will be taking the Eng 101 via on-line come Jan. but now I am looking into graduate school.

Can anyone recommend a good course of action. I want to get an MBA, I would like to go for Project Management if possible. I already have my CAPM certification.

Thanks for the help

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your future graduation.

As far as the MBA your searching for...have you checked out California Coast University? Here's the link to their site describing their MBA plan.

California Coast University - Programs - Master of Business Administration (MBA)

I just finished my MBA with them a couple of days ago; it was challenging but doable in 6 months if you fully apply yourself. Read up on it and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Lee

Saint Leo has an MBA that can be done in 1 year. Here's a thread I started on it a few months ago.

There are several options available for you. I will be going to Penn State University World Campus to earn my MBA. Of course, I have to finish my BA first! Penn State does not have a notably accelerated program, however, they do have a highly recognizable brand name. On the other hand, Ashford University has an online program that is affordable and accelerated. In fact, Ashford is so affordable that almost everyone can pay for it with financial aid to include, Stafford loans as the only means of payment!

Either way, keep us posted on what you decide. I am really interested in hearing what everyone else is thinking about various MBA programs out there.

Joe,

Being prior military you may appreciate American Military University. They have Master's programs entirely online. They are regionally and nationally accredited and the classes are available in 8 week or 16 week formats.

If you take two 8 week classes at a time, you can get a Master's degree in a year.

They have some very neat programs that you might enjoy along the govt. line as well as some traditional MS degree programs that would work out well for private industry.

They are legit and widely accepted. I don't work for them or get any money from them by the way.

Check it out.

You can also enroll while finishing your BS. They allow you to take up to 15 units before you have to send in your BS transcripts.

Highly recommend.

Accredited Online University - American Military University (AMU) - Online Military Distance Learning Degree Programs, Military Studies, Intelligence Degree

I must also say that this is my "college of the week." As I continue to search for Master's programs I tend to endorse the one that have reseacrhed and found to be the best. CCU comes highly recommended by many on this forum and if you are in need of a degree that is nationally accrediated and do not require a Regional Accreditation for your employer/future employer, California Coast University could be your quickest route. One member here finished all requirements for a masters in 5 months. (The school will not award the degree in faster that 9 months however so you would have to wait for the diploma).

Best of luck.

I've enrolled @ Amberton Universtiy and will be taking MBA preq courses starting in Jan. After that, it's on to their MBA (Strategic Leadership) program. They don't offer a Project Management specialty, but here's the link if you are interested.

Amberton University is a graduate and undergraduate institution based in Dallas, Texas for adult students: Master Degrees; Courses Online; Master Degree Programs
