I just got this email in from EC.
While my experience with the college has been 90% positive, maybe this would be a good opportunity to bring up the lame diploma again in a real venue that will get read by someone! If someone here doesn't get an invite to this survey, post some stuff on this thread that one of us can put in the little "comments" box that always comes with a survey. -HB Tell Us What You Think Recently, Excelsior College commissioned Zogby International to conduct an interactive survey which should begin in the next few days. You may receive an email invitation from Zogby International to participate in this online survey. Zogby International is a public opinion market research firm headquartered in Utica, New York. Responses are Confidential Though you are of course free to decline participation by simply ignoring the email, your opinions are very important to us! Your individual responses will be kept confidential by Zogby International and aggregated with responses received from other students. Excelsior College will never know how you individually have responded. Your participation is this research is voluntary, and you may discontinue participation at any time without penalty. I thank you in advance for participating in this survey. It will only take 10-15 minutes to complete it. Sincerely, William M. Stewart Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement

FYI, I was contacted via telephone a few weeks ago and asked if I would be willing to speak to a third party re. my Excelsior experience. I agreed, and when they called I did mention the need for a better diploma. We just need to keep pounding the drum...

I got the "We want your opinion" email. What is the problem everyone has with the diploma? Screw the diploma, how about a name change. I'm just about done with my BSLS degree and the only benefits I can see are the ability to check off "Undergraduate degree" box on applications and admissions to 4th & 5th tier grad school programs. Why can't they give the college a semi normal name like Albany College or something. Excelsior College listed on my resume looks suspect. I'm considering going for a 2nd undergrad at a school with a normal name. Sorry for the rant......
