Has anybody heard of this school? I was considering CCU, but after chatting with my sup last night, it appears upper management would only approve RA schools for MBA program. I did a lot of reading from schools like Mississippi State, CSU - DH, and a few others. I noticed Touro University International's Tuition for California residences and government employees is $750.00 instead of $1,250.00 per course and it mentions the following for books "All textbooks and course materials are on TUI's cyber Library, so there is no additional cost to you." The total MBA tuition is $8,100.

Why not try forums.degreeinfo.com , DegreeDiscussion.com :: Index , or online.degree.net for additional info on grad schools. Be prepared at times for some gruff responses as there are a few long-noses looking down on many schools but I believe you should be OK with Touro - Good Luck!!

I recognized the name from a most entertaining thread I came across in another forum--and while looking for that found some other info that may be interesting to you. I don't have personal knowledge with regard to anything contained in these threads--but given the decision you're attempting to make, I thought they might be helpful.

I'm afraid to post in those forums

The more I read about that school in those forums, the more uncertain I get. I think it's best I focus on getting the rest of my courses completed and worry about a good RA MBA school that my employer will pay when the time comes. Way too much info in those forums.

Spoke with the advisor at the school today. So far, I'm quite impressed with them. It appears based on the courses I've completed, I might have 6 to 8 less courses to graduate with TUI compared with Excelsior's B.S. in Business. Since there is no enrollment fee with TUI, I will most likely keep Excelsior active and see how things pan out by next year while using both schools. I just want to get my degree, so I can work on my MBA.

I don't know if it will count for u but Aspen University has a online MBA program for 4500(for the entire program plus books) and if you use my name as a reference you will receive a $250 discount. Aspen does accept CLEP exams which am doing now as the cost of a CLEP is about the same as the cost of books for a class and I can study and complete a CLEP in much less time than it takes to take a class.

That looks interesting, but my employer is being a pain and will only accept RA schools. Also, I'm considering teaching part-time at my local college, but they require the MBA to be RA. With TUI, I live in California, so the tuition for the MBA is $8,250. They mentioned the textbook and materials is on their server so there is no extra charge. Plus, my employer pays up to 4,250 per fiscal year, so good chance the entire tuition would be covered.

You're not alone.

It seems that unless you belong to the "high-brow set" you always walk (limp) away beat-up just a little. Some of their collective points are quite sound but never flexible. It always seems to be more of a one-way scolding rather than a two-way discussion.
