Hi all,
I am currently studying for the Precalculus exam and, from what I understand, it is a brand new test. I can't seem to find any information on the exam other than what's on the College Board's web site. I have a feeling that I am going to fail this one, and so I am wondering if anyone knows of a good independent study Precalculus course (3 cr.) I have seen many great posts regarding an excellent speech course from BYU (self-study, no exams, only $390) and I was hoping to find a similar course that satisfies my Precalculus requirement. Thanks. |

ALEKS
Course Products 20 bucks a month, or $100 for 6 months, not sure how long it takes a person to complete the Pre-Calc learning program Lower Division, 3 semester hours Pre-Calculus ACE https://www.acenet.edu/nationalguide....cfm?cid=71037 |

I am currently using the ALEKS service and am very pleased with it. I am doing the Pre-Calculus to brush up on Algebra and Pre-Calc. After approximately 30 hours of study (started back in July), I am just now starting to hit the trigonometry subjects, though I feel like I am SOLID on all the topics I have covered thus far. If you are looking for some self study, I would check them out. They have a free trial. Let me know if you have any questions about them and I will answer as best I can.

Rich, I got a question... Once you fill in the entire pie, will there be another assessment test at the very end? Or will that be the end of the course? P.S. BTW, I am currently at 51% ![]() |

Sorry for the delay in my reply! I had a couple birthdays in the fmaily that kind of took me away from the computer. To answer your question, yes there will be periodic re-examinations on many of the subjects on the "slices" of the pie to verify your knowledge. I would not expect that if you get a slice complete that you are done with it necessarily. If you get a problem wrong during the periodic examination, you will have to revisit that slice. Once you have shown mastery of a subject, it is periodically revisited to refresh. I think its an awesome system. Let me know if you have any more questions! ~Rich
