Post Charter Oak Question

Hi,

My husband is interested in finishing his BS via testing. I've been looking at different degree requirements for each of the Big Three, and it looks like COSC might be the best fit for him since he has 117 credits and has already completed most of their General Ed requirements.

I've also read that an Individualized Studies concentration requires 18 upper level credits-- no problem there. But all of his upper level credits are engineering related applied professional credits. I know that Excelsior requires at least 21 upper level credits in liberal arts for their Liberal Studies degrees. Does anyone know if COSC requires any number of upper level liberal arts credits for their Individualized Studies program? I'd call them, but it's already late on that side of the country and I'm a keystroke away from sending his application

[edit] Also, does COSC accept "D" letter grades from traditional classes in transfer?

Default cosc

I recently matriculated into COSC. I got back my official evaluation and it looks like the upper level classes need to be at the 400 level. As far as I can tell there are no upper level liberal arts requirements. All my upper level courses are in business management or real estate. Good luck.

Wow, most of my UL credits are at the 300 level. Luckily, most of his are 400+, whew! Thank you for the info. It is looking very promising. I just sent his application and transcripts, fingers are crossed.

Good luck with your program! COSC seems like a great school based on my interactions and all of the forum feedback I have found on them.

Default 300/400

Most of what believed were upper level were 300 classes. I only had 6 units worth of 400 level classes so I need to take some upper level classes.

Good luck…

JM
