Default Money and Banking

I have been studying money and banking. This is a very hard exam but very interesting. I have been going through the flash cards and just opened Rudman's book. I starting taking the tests and they seem to not line up with what I have been studying. Has anyone used Rudman's test book? And was it helpful?

I took and passed M&B without looking at the Rudman's book. To me, Rudman's book tend to scare me more than help me. I did micro and macro economics and went straight into M&B so it was all fresh in my mind. I walked into the test with a good base of knowledge to make educated guesses at questions that I really didn't know the answer. The Rudman book can't hurt I don't guess, but don't let it discourage you.

I took the Money and Banking test today. It was written, not computer based, so I can't give you a definitive score. I used only InstaCert and went directly to the FED website, which explained in detail eveything that they do.
Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System

The test was FED heavy so I would concentrate on understanding exactly how, when and why they do what they do.

I immediately skipped over answers that I was unsure about and completed around 65-70 percent of the test the first time through.

Since many things were repeated and rephrased, it made it easy to go back a second time and complete the rest.

Good luck!

Default Money and Banking

I'm not that good with giving feed back, but I'll do the best I can.

They had a question about

Bretton Wood Agreement
Basic goals of the Fed and Open market operating
2 questions about pegging/floating
I lot of question about the Federal Reserve like
How will the monetary base would be affected if the fed buys government bonds, and also know a about inflation/deflation and how the government can affect it.
There was not much about international.
Had one question about exchange rates.

I hope this helps someone.
