Upper Level ECE HRM or Labor relations

Hello everyone,

I need one more upper level test for the BSGB 12 credit requirement.

I have already done.... DSST Money and Banking
Tomorrow will take..... DSST MIS
Next month will take ... DSST Business law II

I need one more U/L and have seen threads on both so I am looking for suggestions on which one to take, ECE Labor relations or ECE HRM.
(Honestly I am looking for the easier one to take).

Since I am asking, would Excelsior accept the DSST Org behavior and the DSST Ethics in America to fulfill those requirements?

Hi Mike,

I took ECE Labor Relations (and can send you some good study notes), and found the exam "doable". However, I was VERY surprised that I scored a "C" instead of the "A" I was fully expecting...since I had breezed through the questions and didn't find them overly difficult. But for some reason that seems to happen to a lot of people with the ECE exams...don't know what the deal is with that!

I haven't taken the ECE Human Resources Mgmt exam, so I can't give you any feedback on that one, but I'm sure someone in the forum can tell you.

To answer your question about DSST Org. Beh. and DSST Ethics in America meeting the requirement for upper level...I wish! Unfortunately neither one of these are considered upper level. However! You could take the ECE Ethics exam and that one DOES meet the upper level requirement. And personally, I liked that exam much better than ECE Labor Relations.

I don't know yet which one to choose, ECE Labor or HRM (no response yet on the HRM) but please send me the notes you have on Labor Relations (Only if it is not much trouble since I haven't decided yet) thanks.

Also, I have taken the DSST Ethics in America (Excelsior has not received the transcript yet) so, if I did take the ECE Ethics would it only count once, or would the ECE count as U/L and the DSST count as their Ethics requirement (I'm a little confused by how that would work).

Mike,

The DSST Ethics in America counts as a LOWER level exam; the ECE Ethics counts as an UPPER level exam. So you CAN take the ECE Ethics to meet the upper level requirement AND still get credit for the DSST Ethics exam for as well. Does that make sense?

I would go with HRM. I really thought that I had done well and ended up failing it by just a smidge. I really think that HRM would require less studying than the Labor Relations.
