Default Social Psychology

Hi all. I know that y'all don't hear much from me but there hasn't been much feedback on this exam and so I thought I would give back a little.
I sat for this today, studied for about a week and pulled a "C", which is what I was expecting.

This is a terminology exam. Google a glossary of Social Psych terms and study them! Know them inside and out. I was pretty familiar with the terms but if you have them down cold, you will do better than a "C". (the term cognitive turns up a lot!)

Take "Research Methods" first. If you have taken that, you'll get several "gimme" questions that you will know from that exam. (manipulate the independent or dependent variable?)

Read the Social Psych section of the Kaplan GRE Psych book. (It is pretty short, you could read it in the book store or better yet, get it from the library.) It will familiarize you with the various names in Social Psych and who did what experiment and what the results were.
And of course, use instantcert.

Good luck everyone, and thanks for all the feedback that everyone has given over the past year on exams they have taken. (You know who you/they are!!)

CONGRATULATIONS on passing Social Psychology palvc! Well done! And thanks so much for posting some feedback, especially since this is an exam that does not yet have a lot of feedback. I'll copy & paste it into the Specific Feedback section (I waited for Basket Weaver to do it, since he thinks I'm a "reposting hog", but hey...you snooze, you lose!! ).

Good luck on the rest of your exams pavlc!

JoAnne

Man, you take a day or two off to sell your house and you get drug through the proverbial mud! Come on now JoAnne, you know how you like seeing your name posted over and over and over and over (point made yet?)....... I'll promise to get back into the groove and reply to my PMs, so much going on now as it appears as though I will move in about a month, plus I will receive my first three courses for my MBA in about a week. No rest for the weary!

Pavlc, congrats on the pass and thanks for the great feedback. Keep up the good work! Lee
