DANTES question....
I'm taking my first DANTES test next week. All the others I've done have been CLEPs. My DANTES will be computer-based.
Can those of you who have taken the computer-based version of DANTES give me any idea as to the format? Is it pretty much the same as the CLEP? Any tricky things to watch out for (as in, "don't hit the Section Exit" button too soon on CLEP) or things like that? I'm just a little nervous.

Your chances at guessing correctly increases from 20% to 25%. Umm, that's about it. The formats are very similar. The main thing I like about the DSSTs is that you just have to enter your personal information (name, SS#, CC#, etc.) only once. You get to choose a username & password. Every time you go in for an exam (after your initial exam), you just enter your username & password...then choose your exam, then voila!! You're ready to go. It's great!

Just out of curiosity, can you have your results sent directly to your school too like the CLEP CBT?

Yes, you can have your score sent directly. The test site had to look up Excelsior's code because DANTES doesn't have the drop down like CLEP. I've only taken one so far, so I'm not sure if the school location is saved on your profile or if you need to re-enter it each time.

Thanks for the feedback!
One other question.....I'm not sending my scores anywhere yet, as I haven't enrolled in TESC yet. Do they have a "do not send" option on the DANTES tests? And I assume they keep a transcript that you can request later, like CLEP does?
