    Default Challenge Program

I have already contacted my councilor for the program on this very subject. I have to write a resume on myself, detailing past experience/training in Psychology. The fact that Psychology was my second area of focus and that I have military counseling experience/training bodes well for me getting approved to challenge the maximum 3 courses. If approved for one, or all three of the challenge courses, all I have to do is take the final exam for each one....and by the way, they are open book, un-timed, un-proctored tests. So yes, I think it's safe to say I will pass them, I'll just have to buy the text book. My goal is to challenge the 3 maximum courses leaving 10 courses to take. I want to have these 10 done before I get out of the military so I will be a tad bit busy. While you can finish the program as quick as you want, they will not award you the degree until the 9 month mark, which coincidently is 1 month before my official retirement date. I would imagine this would make me a bit more marketable in the civilian sector job market.

    This is an incredible program!

I wanted to express my appreciation to the members of this forum for their constant support and encouragement, and to Steve for cranking out those valuable IC study guides; simply put--without IC, this would not have happened.

Now for the new news, I have decided to follow in Brian's footsteps and am enrolling in California Coast University to earn a Master's of Science in Psychology; I should start my first course next month once Excelsior gives them my degree transcript. It is a good general degree that will work for me as a manager, plus put a few more dollars in my pocket as well.

After all the whining I did about education being a business....there is no end to my hypocrisy. It seems my basket weaving days are not yet done

    Congrats!!
