For me personally, it was Macroeconomics. I scored very high on it but it was only the second one that I had tested out of. After being out of school for almost 30 years I really had my doubts about if I was going to be able to grasp the subject matter and pass. I was lucky that I was somewhat strong in Alegebra as there were a lot of graphs. That one stands out in my memory as being my toughtest.

My hardest to study for and hardest to actually do and one of my lowest scores was Natural Sciences. It was broad. I couldn't get a handle on it all. I do feel like now I would do better on it. Go figure.

The one I MOST dreaded was College Math. But I just took my time, studied for 3 weeks about, got a friend to tutor me and walk me through the hard stuff, and vuala. When I got to the test, it was nowhere near as hard as I thought it would be.

The broader they are (ie sciences, humanities, math) the harder I find it is to conquer them.

I would have to say the hardest tests that I took were AMerican and ENglish literature. But dificulty is all relative to different people. Some tests others found hard, I found easy and vise versa.

Money and Banking (which I failed) was my hardest. The test was looking for an advanced working knowledge of the subject and not just the memorization of the terms.

Well, I've only taken 8 or 9 CLEPS so far. Macroeconomics was challenging and drove me nuts for about a week until the graphs started making sense.

I think the hardest for me so far, in terms of actual prep, was Western Civ. I. There was SO MUCH information and it was so hard for me to fit things into the right place on the timeline and keep track of Greece, Rome, Sumer, Babylon, Byzantium, and, oh yeah, four hundred countries in Europe. I scored pretty well but I felt totally overwhelmed for several weeks.
