Default Ethics in America

Did anyone take the Ethics in America and use strictly InstantCert. I took the exam today but feel like I did not do very well. I went over InstantCert 2 times for this subject.

I just did not feel like it prepared me for the exam. There were a few things covered but not what was really on the exam. Did anyone else have this experience?

By the way, I have passed English, Math, and Public speaking with ease. I am really uneasy about Ethics though. Thanks for any input.

I passed Ethics in America using only InstantCert. If it's any consolation, I also felt like I did really poorly -- but I was better prepared than I thought I was . I ended up with a 70 on the test (the cutoff is 46, I believe).

Also, as a side note, I used the InstantCert guide for the Excelsior Ethics:Theory and Practice and got a B on that, with only one pass through. So if you need upper-level credit, that could be a good way to go .

Default Ethics in America

I used instantcert and the DSST official test prep guide book and also looked up terms and philosophers at www.reference.com. The test is real odd the way things are worded and I felt very uncomfortable with the test when I was done. Two weeks later I got the results. 73! I overstudy but I don't have room to fail the exam.

I just took ethics in america today, it was easier than ECE, I got a B on that one how long does it take to get the results, how long did it take you to get back your results.

Hi Tan539,

On average, DANTES have taken about two weeks to get my scores to me. Even over the Christmas holiday it only took them three weeks.

I'm sure it varies...but you should expect to wait two to three weeks.

Good luck,

Was the test multiple choice? Was there fill in the blank or an essay?

Cool Test

About 33% was multiple choice and 67% were Yes/No questions. The yes/no questions could be confusing. There was also an essay. I did the essay but I'm not sure if TESC required it. I actually took a very long time doing the test. I'm slow I guess but I got a 73. I really think the DSST study guide is very helpful on this exam. Personally, I think the wording of this exam stinks. Get the fact sheet from the DSST site to fimiliarize yourself with the exam and also how the essay is done. It took 2 weeks for the results though about 3+ weeks for my Into to World Religions results.
