I'm new to the world of Dantes and Clep - trying to finish my BSN degree w/Regis University and some of the other nurses had used the College Network for some of the general ed requirements. So, I've paid a large sum of money for these two study guides, am completely overwhelmed and have now found the instantcert academy. Has anyone taken the religion and/or ethics exam - how was it, any hints and will I be ok if I just use the instantcert study guide? Helpppp.

Ihaven't taken the religion test yet but I am studying for it now. I went to getcollegecredit.com and took a 50 question practice test for $19.95. The questions were More specific than the information I studied here but I felt like I had the basics down. I hope in the future they add more specific info to the questions.
I am currently studying the stuff I missed on the practice exam and arm hoping to take the real test next week. |

If you're referring to the "Intro to World Religions" and "Ethics in America" DANTES tests, you'll do quite well using only the resources here. The World Religions was quite easy... for Ethics, it can be a little long, just make sure you get the people down with the theories (Epicurus and hedonism, you know, that type of thing). slaughterhause |

I took the World Religion test it was pretty simple. I found this site after I took it and I must say the information here would have helped with the test. Hope you do well.

I passed both with a 78 and 73. Check out the privious postings on these topics. I posted replies to each and its too much typing to re-post. You should pass with out any problems based upon some info I gave. Good luck.

I don't think you have to know specific dates (like, say, for Civil War) but you do need to know generally when things happen. If you know the stuff on InstaCert, you should be fine. See other postings on this topic as well. Good Luck! |

I took both of these yesterday (Intro to World Religions and Ethics in America). Obviously, I don't know my score yet. I'll post it when I receive them.
As others have stated, I found the wording of the questions for Ethics to be rather odd. It seemed at times like they were trying to use tricky phrases to throw you off. Particularly on the yes or no section of the test. I think I probably passed both, but I won't be easy about it until I see the scores. :-P |
