On the other hand, it will probably take me about 4-6 weeks yet to finish my three IU courses, it terms of everything being registered, exams results etc..., so why not try a different type of exam that I have already studied for somewhat, and that will probably be sure things???

    Hi Mary,

Congratulations on your wonderful 6-credit day!

I can't speak for Fundamentals of Counseling because I haven't taken it yet, but if you have studied for Here's to Your Health and feel ready to take it, I would say go ahead.

It is nowhere near as challenging as American Government and, as you say, you have a few weeks until your IU courses are done anyway.

Why not go ahead and take the DANTES, just for the heck of it...providing you have studied sufficiently of course.

Maybe you could turn your '6-credit day' into a '12-credit week'?

    Congratulations once again,

    Thumbs up Took Humanities

Well.. I took Humanities today. I didn't study nearly enough. There was a lot of stuff I actually remembered from high school (nearly 8 years ago). I got a 51. I passed and that is all that matters. Too close for comfort but 6 credits regardless. YAY!! That one was rough......

Next I am going to try the Western Civilization CLEPs. Also, I am going to try the DANTES Civil War. After the Western Civ CLEPs there aren't really too many more that I need/want to take. I have 44 traditional credits so I am now down to my UL courses (my degree is in Political Science). I have 81 credits credits now that apply to my degree.

    Well done arbornmedic,

A 51 does the trick quite nicely. As you say, it was close. But you landed on the right side of 50. Awesome job.

Humanities is a tough exam....very broad in scope!

Congratulations on earning yourself SIX credits today.

Best of luck on your next one,

Talking Finally got Biology out of the way.

Back in May, I posted the results of my first CLEP to this thread. The subject
was Sociology and I scored a 70. I went on to say that I was going to take the
Biology CLEP on July 13th. I wasn't ready and postponed the test.

    Today, I finally took it.

Even though I misjudged my pace, and ended up guessing on quite a few questions
and even leaving some unanswered, I passed it with a score of 68! My school
grants 8 credits for it, and it satisfies the physical sciences requirement for my
    AA degree.

For those of you who have not taken a CLEP yet, I would like to relate a
realization that I had today. During (and at the end of) each of the two CLEPS
I have taken, I believed that I was scoring much lower than I actually was.
Both times, I thought I might have actually failed until I actually saw my score.
However, I did my best not to let my doubts affect my mental state until the test
was complete. I think it is quite possible that, if I had let those false perceptions
shake me during the tests, I might not have passed either one.

    Good luck to everyone!

    Avery
