    Default American Government

Passed this with a 57 using only InstantCert study questions and approximately 3-4 hours of cumulative study time. MUCH better and CHEAPER than a 3-hour class once a week for 16 weeks!!!

    Strategy was quite simple:
    • Took the exam for each section
    • Repeated each sectional exam 3-4 times until material was absorbed
    • Once scores reached 95-100% on sectional exam, moved on to next section
    • After all sections mastered, one last round of each section to validate learning
    • TAKE THE TEST!!!

The material may not seem as comprehensive as you'd expect, but mastery of the content with the fill-in-the-blank format really seems to give you an edge when completing the actual multiple-choice exam!

    Thanks InstantCert!!!

    Gary

ViolinGirl, as far as I know you're right. Previously to the 20-80 score range, I believe the score range was 200-800 (they simply removed that extra digit).

    Thanks for using InstantCert, Gary!

And Violingirl--Yes, the max score is 80. I was a little confused myself when I saw those scores. Maybe he was putting down his percentiles?

Default General ??? on CLEP Study guides

I have a week to take two test to finish my degree,
    -General Anthropology (SF494)
    -Human Cultural Geography (SF470)

I have never taken one of these tests before and have found it hard to find study guides for both, I am using the InstantCert course for the General Anthropology but have not found anything for the human Geography yet. Has anyone taken one of these tests? Any info would be great,

    Mahalo,
    Thomas

The scores that are in so far (more results to come as I get them):

    DSST statistics= 51
    Principles of Management= 68

I used the Idiots Guide for Statistics and InstantCert to study for the Stats. I found I could not answer the InstantCert's questions until I had worked through entire a to z concepts first in the book. I studied the standard deviations, definitely know how to do those if you plan to take the stats. I learned the parts that yielded the most points first that I could absorb the fastest. then I reinforced it with the Instantcert flashcards. I studied about 8 to 12 hours for the stats tests all together starting about two days before the test!!
I took at least three and a half hours to take the stats test. Almost walked after the first 6 questions. But don't panic. I sat there and worked out every problem that could be worked out and if I did not know the by the book stats formula to solve a problem, I used logic and other math methods to find the answers. Just try because you won't loose any points for filling in the wrong answer (guessing).

The principles of management was fairly easy. I just used the instantcert questions for it.
