    11/27 CLEP Humanities -- 79
    11/29 CLEP Natural Sciences -- 71
    12/01 DSST Management Information Systems -- 65
12/03 ECE Ethics: Theory and Practice -- A
12/04 CLEP Social Sciences and History -- 76
    12/04 CLEP American Government -- 72
12/05 CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications -- 78
    12/05 CLEP Introductory Business Law -- 71
    12/08 CLEP Principles of Macroeconomics -- 73
    12/10 DSST Criminal Justice -- 61
    12/10 CLEP College Algebra -- 76
    12/10 ECE Statistics -- A
    12/11 CLEP Principles of Management -- 76
    12/11 CLEP Introductory Sociology -- 72
    12/13 DSST Here's to Your Health -- 67
    12/13 CLEP Principles of Microeconomics -- 68
    12/13 DSST Principles of Supervision -- 67

I'm taking three more DSSTs tomorrow morning -- Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Civil War and Reconstruction, and Business Law II. The InstantCert "flashcards" have been helpful for a lot of these exams. I want to finish my degree requirements before my birthday in mid-February.

    Congratulations!
Have you ONLY been using InstantCert?

No, I have used a lot of different resources. The CLEP Official Study Guide and the Princeton Review book have been great for the CLEP exams that they cover. The Cliffs Quick Review: Economics was good, but maybe a little weak on some of the Microeconomics topics (certainly enough to pass, though). Be wary of the finishcollegefast.com materials -- the Management Information Systems document seemed pretty good (I only had time to read about half of it, but I have been working in the field for about 20 years), but the Principles of Supervision document was a mess -- bad spelling and grammar, wrong on some details, not at all comprehensive.

I used an online version of Statistics Demystified from the Excelsior College Virtual Library, and it was helpful. It's an easy read, and gets you through the material quickly, but it's weak on the advanced topics, and had me sweating through the exam. I managed to score an A anyway, but I didn't do well in experiment design and hypothesis areas.

Buying the ECE practice exams for Ethics and reading through the discussions of all the answers was enough to get me through that exam. CLEP Sociology needed no prep at all.

I'm sure there's more to say, but I'm still prepping!

    WOW!

I just finished Drug & Alcohol Abuse (60), Intro to Business (63), & Intro to World Religions (69) today and it took me a solid week to learn the material and I was sweating bullets! I started the same time as you did and have picked up 27 credits, but your progress is amazing. You must be one smart person.

Thanks, but I don't know about that. I think I can get through tomorrow (although I am already considering delaying the Business Law II exam) but after that, I will really have to work to get through the rest of the exams. Even though I'm cheap, I will probably spend the money for many of the ECE practice exams. I just ordered Penn Foster courses for Accounting (Financial and Managerial) because I don't trust myself to learn those on my own. I should have taken the ECE Composition exam by now, but I messed up when I registered, and selected the split-payment, pay-over-two-months option, so I can't schedule the exam now until after 12/21. I'm a little concerned about that one, because I have a tendency to freeze up when writing.

    Two more today:

    12/15 DSST Drug & Alcohol Abuse -- 61
12/15 DSST Civil War and Reconstruction -- 68

I really thought I was doing poorly on the Drug & Alcohol Abuse exam, but it seems I made some lucky guesses. I decided to hold off on Business Law II and do some more study. I will probably take it and CLEP Principles of Marketing on Tuesday. I have ECE Labor Relations on Monday, so I need to prepare for that first.

I took ECE Labor Relations this afternoon and scored a B. I'm a little upset with myself because I got overconfident, and didn't mark and review anything. (130 questions is a little fatiguing for me.) I used InstantCert exclusively for prep, and I would have done better if I'd used other materials as well this time, I think. My weakest area was Labor Arbitration, and I thought I had done okay with that. I suspect the problem was the names of the different Acts and court cases -- I didn't have those down cold.

Still, that's 69 credits by examination in less than three weeks. I shouldn't whine too much about one B, I guess.
