I received my scores from my last DSST in the mail on Monday. It's now Thursday and a phone call to TESC tells me that TESC doesn't have their copy yet. Should I be concerned? I'm anxious for it to arrive soon so I can file for graduation before this quarter's deadline. I've gotten three different stories on whether to file or not and so yeah, I'll go ahead and file and hope for the best, but it seems odd that they still don't have the piece of paper yet. Or is this normal?

I took my last DSST in Jan 08 they got the paper Feb 08 it took till almost April. I would call them and talk to a human being in the Registrars office. I needed my next to last CLEP credited and it turns out the transcript was misplaced. If I hadn't called and asked about it I wouldn't have made the deadline. By the way I still have not received credit for my last CLEP which they received on 6/17/08 I will call again tomorrow. I have told them I need it for my graduation and they said well you could just be in the next graduating class. The next time I told them I need it on my transcript so I can apply for a job (this is true I need 60 credits showing) and they said they will get to it as soon as they got the transcript, so I have given them a week. I was told I should apply for graduation as long as I had finished even if it wasn't credited yet.

Wow, that's so long. That's why I drive around 60 miles to the testing center that offers the computer-based version.

Yeah, but where I'm perplexed is that I already have the score. Shouldn't the college have gotten it at the same time, as I marked down for them to report the score to TESC?

Yeah, I know it takes forever to get it on the evaluation. I spoke with a live body twice at TESC and they both said it doesn't matter if it's not on the evaluation...the point is that they need to show in their system that they've at least received the piece of paper from DSST. And they're not showing that yet. Or am I getting confused by some sort of run-around?

I sympathize. I got married so some of my transcripts from CLEP had my maiden name, others had my married name (mind you on the TESC app they ask for other names used,) but it took them forever to find my scores, even though they all had the same SS# on them. I also am trying to get in by the July 1 deadline, and was under the impression that if I took the IBT, the scores would be readily available to them. I'm going to try to call registration again later.
