Default ec exams and phoenix online

    Does anyone know this question.
I was told by my academic advisor that i could test out through ec,clep and dantes for certain courses.
So i looked on EC and noticed they have different names to tests to the courses that i will need to take.
I didnt want to look like an idiot and ask my academic advisor again.
So does anyone know what courses are to what at phoenix online.
I mean i see for example an english course. So how would i know if that will qualify for my eng at my school ?
Or do i have no other recourse but to ask him ?
    Thanks

Remember that big check (or more likely credit card payment) you wrote for your enrollment fee? That entitles you to ask your advisor as many questions as you need in pursuing your degree. Don't be embarrassed. If you don't understand clearly yet, then they haven't explained it clearly yet. I will say that you should read the college catalog (Liberal Arts, Business or Technology) and the "Student Guide and Assessment Catalog" but if you still don't know what exams will cover what requirements, then by all means ask your advisor. You can learn a lot here as well, but there's always a chance that what you read here could be mistaken or out of date.

Remember, the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask.

Yeah, BIG TIME - I agree with Gary... not using your advisor could be a HUGE heartache when you study for, then pass a test that doesn't count toward your degree! Add the fact that you are with UoP which means that it's also going to be a very expensive mistake. You shouldn't ever feel like an idiot for asking someone to do their job properly. For the tuition rates that you're paying... they should fly to your home and personally hand you a customized, 14K gold 'degree roadmap'.

Hey... your username (nj593): by chance, are you in NJ? If so, why would you be with UoP when you can pay the in-state tuition rate of $125 per credit at Thomas Edison?

I'm the king of procrastination. I first submitted my app to TESC in 1993. THIS will be the year of my degree completion!

    PASSED:
    CLEP-Information Systems & Computer Applications: Scored 62; Nov 07
    CLEP-Analyzing & Interpreting Literature: Scored 57; Feb 08
    DANTES-Criminal Justice: Scored 54; Jan 08
DANTES-Fundamentals of College Algebra: Scored 47 (and 47 is the req'd pass score! ); Jan 08
    DANTES-Drug & Alcohol Abuse: Scored 57; Feb 08
    DANTES-Ethics in America: Scored 55; Feb 08
    DANTES-Organizational Behavior: Score 54; Mar 08
    DANTES-Technical Writing: Score 58; Mar 08

FELL SHORT OF A PASSING SCORE (I'll never say the 'F' word):
ECE-Organizational Behavior: Score D (but passed DANTES version 2 hours later! )
