Default Excelsior 1 credit written requirement???

Does anyone know the format for the 1 credit writing requirement from excelsior if you take a major? It is an 8 week course you have to take to gain one credit!!! There is the option to submit a wrining project to see if it qualifies but there isnt an exact guideline to it and was wondering if anyone could help me with the format or an example to save the 8 weeks. Thanks

I think 8 weeks is what they give you to complete it. It should only take about 8 minutes to complete, though. Search for the other threads on this, and you'll see what I mean.

fcon - are you asking about the Information Literacy requirement or the Research Writing requirement?

Information Literacy is quick & easy (but expensive!)

Research & Writing can be fulfilled by submitting a graded research paper from an upper-level course in your major, taking Historiography or an equivalent, taking Research & Writing or an equivalent, or taking Graduate Research & Writing. Some coursework may meet this requirement, as well - check with your advisor.

the paper you can submit to replace this course must be in APA or MLS format and must be graded and be from an upper level course in your major, i did it and the academic advisors were less than helpful. The policy is still new so all they could really do you read to me what is in the catalog. I sent them a paper via email and then in a few days i got a email saying they accepted it. Saved me 8 weeks and a lot of money!!!

Default they are less than helpul

The woman I spoke with was less than vague... This paper has to be from a class taken somewhere else and already graded? All she told me was that the paper had to be at least 8 pages in length but did not even tell me the format. Know where I can find it? Thanks alot!
