Default Help with COSC Academic Autobiography

COSC accepted my CPS rationale. Now I need to write an Academic Autobiography.

Need direction and feedback from people enrolled in COSC.

Thank you

Default Let me know what you need

I completed my academic autobiography recently and had it approved and received a pretty good grade. If you have specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Just let me know what information you need.

To give a brief overview, my AA was a little over a 1,000 words (close to four pages). I went through my academic career chronologically, highlighting classes and tests from my general education requirements and some from my concentration (that was mostly covered in my CPS, which was already approved). I tried to integrate how important each of these classes were for my personal and/or professional needs (ie - Adolescent Psychology not only helped me counsel clients in my job more effectively, it also gave me insight into my son's development).

Default Portfolio Assessment

I've had a wonderful experience with COSC. I've loved working with all of my class mentors (well...almost all), my advisor, and the staff at Charter Oak. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience.

I took the portfolio review class last semester (required before you submit your portfolio and VERY helpful), so it was a bit later on in my educational career. I only submitted it for three credits, because it turned out that was just about all I needed to graduate after my other classes and tests. There is no limit on the number of credits you can apply for in your portfolio review. However...for every three/four credit class, you have to submit a great deal of written support and documentation, so gaining more than about 12 credits is probably not a typical expectation, though I am sure it has been done.

I'm in the same boat... I just got approved for an “Individualized concentration in Real Estate & Business”. I plan on working on my academic autobiography as soon as I finish my next test (Labor Relations ECE – 2nd or 3rd week of March).
