I have not taken the TESCP, but I am taking the TESC course Social Psychology. I think if you have taken a handful of sociology and psychology courses you could do this with no problem. It wants to be it's own field, but it really does overlap in almost every way. The trick will be learning major contributors to the field, jargon, and probably having a bit of research method knowledge. My social psychology text book is surprisingly VERY VERY interesting!! I enjoy it very much- so if you want to invest in a book you could try this one:
Baron, Byrne, Branscombe. Social Psychology (probably any edition after 8-mine is 11th, publication 2006). Pearson.
