Default should I fight this?

Ok, I am in the final count down- I needed one class in my concentration (must be 200 level or higher) to close it out. I took a winter semester class locally and earned an A. The course is titled SOC200 Contemporary Social Problems.
TESC entered the prelim info on my transcript as SOC174
On a quick google search, I can find at least 8 other colleges that have the same title and are listed above the 200 level. Why the drop?
If I let it go, it falls into an elective - not the end of the world, but not my plan. I had intended to use CLEP biology for my remaining 6 credit elective.
Thoughts? Is this something colleges arbitrarily assign numbers to, or is there some rock solid system?
I am going to speak with my advisor this afternoon- but I wanted to guage how hard to press.
THANKS
