There are several really great programs for the Master's level online. I think that Shoto and Katterina enrolled with CCU and there is Liberty University and others. Old Rusty Pipe posted this link that, if I remember, has a couple of others.

The question is what you plan to do with it afterwards. Many people stop at the Master's level and can still do counseling and some types of mental health. It depends on what your specific state allows.
If you are going to continue on for you PhD then you will want to make sure that the program will be accepted for transfer to the future university. Also, what would you like to be? Your answer could affect your choices. For example, a Clinical Psychologist in our state has to have gone through an APA approved program in order to obtain licensure. At this time, the only APA approved online program for a PhD in psychology is Fielding University in California.

Here is the link to the APA accreditation page if you would like more information.

If you are not going to work specifically in mental health then the APA and licensing issues won't matter. I can think of several professions where having a Master's in psychology would be extremely beneficial. Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Teaching, Day Care or Nursing Home Mgmt. to name just a few. Hope this has been of some help. Good luck to you!
Edit to update info: Washington State's licensure rules changed just 4 months ago to allow some graduates of non-APA schools to qualify. Check their site for more information.
